How Rowmates uses your information.

What Rowmates collects

We collect the information needed to create an account, organize a booking, let guests choose seats, issue entry links, and keep payment status accurate. This can include:

• Your name, email address, and session information.
• When you sign in with Google, your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile image.
• Booking details such as the movie, theater, showtime, seat layout, invite settings, ticket or receipt image, entry-code contents, and guest seat choices.
• Whether a guest says a direct payment was sent and whether the organizer confirms receiving it. Rowmates does not receive bank credentials or payment-account access.
• Basic technical and security information used to operate the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.
• Coarse product milestones such as starting a booking, opening an invitation, claiming a seat, or opening a ticket. These event records do not contain an IP address, email address, browser fingerprint, full URL, or booking-link token.

Ticket images

Ticket QR codes are decoded in your browser. When you create a booking, Rowmates may store a compressed copy of the first ticket or receipt image with that booking so the organizer can review it later.

How information is used

We use information to provide the booking and seat-selection service, authenticate users, record guest-sent and organizer-received payment statuses, issue and validate entry links, prevent duplicate claims and abuse, provide support, and maintain the service.

Service providers

Rowmates uses service providers to run the site and its features, including Render for hosting, Google for sign-in, Resend for transactional email, ScreenWatch for observed auditorium data, TMDB for movie artwork, and YouTube for optional trailers. Direct payments happen outside Rowmates through the details the organizer provides. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Sharing inside a booking

People with a booking link can see seat availability and shortened guest names. Organizers can see the booking details they manage. Invite-only bookings may compare a guest's signed-in email address with the organizer's allowlist.

Retention and deletion

We keep information while it is needed to provide, secure, and reconcile the service. Removing a booking from the organizer interface archives it, revokes its active links, and makes its guest tickets unavailable; it does not immediately erase the booking, payment history, or append-only operational audit. To request access to, correction of, anonymization of, or deletion of account information, email us at the address below. We review deletion requests against records that must be retained for security, payment reconciliation, dispute handling, or legal obligations.

Security

We use signed sessions, encrypted HTTPS connections, verified Google identity tokens, and access checks. No online system can guarantee perfect security.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time. Organizers control what booking and ticket information they add and can archive bookings they own, which revokes access rather than immediately erasing operational records.
